This guide explains the common errors with control box/blackbox/skattebox devices and how you can solve them yourself.
BlackboxError – Sign Ticket Failed / Blackbox Offline
This error indicates that control box device is not functional. Try the following:
Restarting the control box
- Unplug the control box device from the USB port, wait for 3 seconds and plug it in again. For info on how Swedish control box devices look like, check out Swedish fiscal requirements - control box. Their location varies between different POS models, in some cases under the screen, in some cases behind a plastic lock on the back side of the POS device.

LED light is not blinking
If the LED on control box is not blinking, try the following:
- Try using a different USB port on the device.
- Try replacing the USB cable on KEAXE control boxes with a detachable cable, it is a regular USB Micro B cable used for the older generation of mobile phones that sometimes malfunctions:
- If the LED still does not blink, the device is malfunctioning, contact Trivec Support for replacement.
LED light is blinking
If the LED on the control box is blinking, try the following solutions:
- Try plugging the control box in to a different USB port on the device.
Restart Domino
- Log in with a login code that has Restaurant Manager / Owner level permissions.
- Select Cash in the upper left corner of the screen:
- Select Exit:
- Confirm by selecting Yes:
- Wait until Domino closes.
- Restart Domino by doubleclicking its icon on the Desktop:
- Wait until Domino starts up and retry closing the ticket.
Restart Windows
- Close Domino (following the guide above)
- Select Win Start symbol in the lower left corner of the screen:
- Select the Power symbol:
- Select Restart:
- Wait until Windows restarts. Domino will run automatically after restart.
- Wait until Domino starts up and retry closing the ticket.
- If the error still persists, contact Trivec Support.
Blackbox error: Printer Offline
Printing out a receipt is a fiscal obligation in Sweden, therefore ticket can not be closed if receipt can not be printed. This error indicates that there is an issue with the printer. Follow the Troubleshooting printers guide.
