This article explains how to troubleshoot VPOS devices.
Removing the interface cover
- All cables on VPOS are managed behind an interface cover that in some cases needs to be removed for troubleshooting purposes. To remove the cover, press on the striped part of the it and slide it off:
- VPOS with the interface cover removed:
Disconnecting the blackbox (Sweden)
- In case blackbox needs to be disconnected, remove the interface cover as described above.
- With the interface cover removed, locate the blackbox device:

- Follow the cable to find the USB that it is connected to. To disconnect it, pull on the USB connector outwards:
Enabling DHCP
If device has lost connectivity to local network but the network interface LED is on/blinking, it is a good idea to try to enable DHCP on device. For info on how, check out Enabling DHCP on VPOS.
Replacing a disk (M2)
Disk is not replaced on VPOS devices. Instead, the whole device is swapped.
Replacing RAM
RAM is not replaced on VPOS devices. Instead, the whole device is swapped.
