Vouchers with promos

This article describes how vouchers can be used to apply promos.

For an introduction to vouchers, check out Vouchers as gift cards.

Vouchers in Domino are most often used as value carriers (e.g., gift cards), but they can also:

  • Only apply promos to the bill, in this case value is number of uses.
  • Carry value and apply promos, in this case value is funds loaded on the voucher.

NOTE: A voucher can either carry a value (e.g, gift card) or apply a promo, but not both at the same time.

For more info on how promos work and which kind of promos exist, check out Promos.

Applying a promo with a voucher

If a promo is configured in the voucher settings, it will be added to the bill once the voucher is registered. For example:

  • The bill amount is 30 €
  • Register a "10 % discount" voucher:
  • Bill amount is reduced to 27 €:
  • Total VAT is reduced:
  • The voucher value (number of uses) is reduced by 1.
