This article explains how users with Manager permissions can create, configure, and manage vouchers in Domino Backoffice.
For an introduction to vouchers, check out the following articles: Vouchers as gift cards and Vouchers with promos.
Managing vouchers in Voucher tab
- Log in with Manager account, navigate to Backoffice/Sales/Vouchers and select Load all to display all registered vouchers - note that the process can take a while in case you have a lot of vouchers:
Extending the validity of Vouchers
If not configured otherwise, vouchers are valid for 365 days. After that, the voucher value is retained, only the voucher is not functional anymore, and the Domino will display "Expired" when the voucher is registered:
Voucher Valid to property is visible on the voucher list:
To extend the validity of vouchers:
- Select the voucher in the voucher list and select the Edit symbol:
- Select the Valid to date to change it to something else and confirm with OK:
Note: The voucher is also extended automatically by 365 days when it gets loaded with a voucher product.
Importing vouchers
It is possible to import vouchers from .csv files. For help with that, contact Trivec Support.
Exporting vouchers
To export the vouchers:
- Log in with your Manager account, and navigate to Backoffice/Sales/Vouchers.
- Select Load all, and wait until all the vouchers are loaded:
- Right-click on the list and select Export to CSV or Excel:
Emptying vouchers
Vouchers with funds have to be emptied one by one when Customer decides it's time to do so. To do that:
- Check what is the current value loaded on the voucher - Check voucher status
- Select product "Gift card emptying" (Ex Sale product) and enter the value loaded on the voucher - in case the product is missing, contact Trivec Support for assistance.
- Select Bill and use the Voucher payment method and register the voucher.
Repeat the process for each voucher. Vouchers where value represents number of uses don't have to be emptied this way, since they are not as relevant from the accounting perspective.
NOTE: If voucher is expired, you will have to extend its validity first, check out Extending the validity of Vouchers.
