Types of cables

There are several types of cables used with Yuno:

  • 2 COM cables (sometimes labeled as COM1 and COM2):

  • Ethernet cable:

  • Power Supply Unit (PSU):

  • PSU has no LED light, so there is no way of telling if it's operational or not:

  • In some cases (tall footstand), PSU is located inside the footstand:

Connecting a card reader

Connecting a card reader to Yuno is a process that requires some basic skill with a screwdriver. You will need a small diameter Phillips screwdriver.

  • Decide where you want the card reader located, on the right or left hand side, when facing the screen. Due to ergonomic reasons, card readers are most often placed on the right side of the screen.
  • Remove the protective cover from the interface by flipping it out:

  • It doesn't matter whether you use a brown or black cable, they both work.

  • Remove the cover from the cable connector by pulling on it outwards:

  • Unscrew the two screws:

  • Connect the card reader:

  • Tuck the cables in nicely so they don't get pinched, place the card reader on the frame, and secure it with the screws:

  • Card reader is now connected to the POS device. Before it is functional, it also needs to be configured in Domino.
