Setting up a replaced device

This article explains the steps required to set up a replaced (swapped) Nets device.

How to do it?

Configuring device settings

Device settings should be preconfigured correctly. This is unfortunately not always the case, use the following guides to check that device settings are configured correctly.

Move/3500

  • Follow the Move/3500: Configuring device settings guide.
  • Check that:
    • KOMMUNIKATION/Komm. typ setting is set to IP WIFI
    • KASSA/ECR setting is set to JA.
    • KASSA/Komm.Typ setting is set to IP WIFI
    • KASSA/ECR IP ADRESS setting is set to:
      • For P@T: IP address of the POS running Baxi Agent.
      • For Baxi: Enter the IP address of the POS sending transactions to the device
    • KASSA/ECR IP PORT setting is set to:
      • For P@T: 6001
      • For Baxi: 6001 (or 6002, 6003 in case there are several terminals configured on the POS device, 1 port per terminal)

Lane/3000 or iPP350

  • Follow the iPP350 & Lane/3000: Configuring device settings guide.
  • Check that:
    • KOMMUNIKATION/Komm. typ setting is correct (Ethernet if using a network cable, Via ecr if using a USB or a serial cable).
    • KASSA/ECR setting is set to JA.
    • KASSA/Komm.Typ setting is correct (IP ethernet if using a network cable, USB slave if using a USB cable, RS232 if using a serial cable).
    • KASSA/ECR IP ADRESS setting is correct, should be the IP address of the POS device sending transactions (if using Ethernet as Komm.Typ).
    • KASSA/ECR IP Port setting is correct, in most cases Device 1 will use 6001, Device 2 will use 6002 and so on.
