Declined transactions

Declined transactions are displayed in red. Successful transaction response is 1, every other code is a declined transaction. Usual response codes for declined transactions are:

  • 82 - Contactless used too many times, chip and pin transaction is required.
  • 78 - Reference number doesn't count up.
  • 50 - General denial, can be displayed if there is not enough money on the card.
  • 96 – Pin required

  • 201 – Incorrect pin

  • 76 – Insufficient funds

  • 56 – Transactions not supported by the institution

  • 52 – Due to PIN tries exceeded

  • 74 – Unable to authorize

  • 51 – Expired card

Approved (reversed) status happens to ensure that the customer is not charged when no charge is supposed to happen. For example, if transaction is confirmed but then canceled at the same time, terminal sends a reversal to make sure nothing is drawn from the cardholder.

To filter by revesed transacations, export the list and filter by column Reversed.
