Working with Covers

This guide explains how to define covers for tables. 

Covers represent a number of guests on a table, meaning one guest equals equals one cover. 

Defining covers for tables

  • Select a table and activate it (for info on how to select and activate a table, check out Tables: Selecting a table).
  • To enter the number of covers on a table, select the area around the Covers text in the order list:

  • Select the number of guests:

  • The number of covers is now visible on the order list:

  • After sending the order, the number of covers is visible on the table plan as well:

Enforce cover (Cover required)

Domino can be configured to always display the same popup as shown above ("Select the number of guests").

This setting can be enabled for:

  • Specific Center
    And/or
  • Specific User Profile
    And/or
  • POS devices under a specific Pc Group

The popup will appear as it does when you manually activate the function. However, you must now select a number in the popup to proceed with sending orders to the table (you can select zero).

You can also require that the number of covers be greater than zero. If a user attempts to select 0, they will see the popup shown below.
